Obituary for C. Lenwood Schott

C. Lenwood  Schott
Lenwood Schott, 96, passed away Friday, June 30, 2018 at the Barbara Egan Center. He was the husband of Beverly Schott with whom he celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on June 6th.
Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Joseph Schott and Lillian (Pocock) Schott. He was preceded in death by his brother Edwin Schott, and sisters Dorothy Coombs and Katherine Schott.
Lenwood served in the Army Air Corps during World War II being stationed in Ireland, England and Germany.
He was a lifelong member of the Cross Roads United Methodist Church where he taught Sunday School for many years. He was involved in many charitable activities including being a long time member of the Stewartstown Lions Club. He enjoyed travel and wood working. He was a long term member of the Cross Roads Borough Council serving several terms as Council President.
Besides his wife he leaves two sons, David and Bradly, three grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
An informal memorial service will be held at on Thursday, July 26 at 3pm at Hartenstein Funeral and Cremation Care, Inc., New Freedom.
