Eva Joanne (Joyner) Krause

Eva Joanne (Joyner) Krause, 90, passed away from this life on Tuesday, February 6, 2024.  She was the loving wife of the late William “Bill” Krause who she was married to for 59 years.  Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Eva was the daughter of the late Harmon Cook and Elizabeth Cooper (Smith) Joyner.

Surviving her are three children, Jeffrey S. Krause and his wife Debbie, Laurie S. Winemiller and her husband Evans, and David S. Krause; four grandsons Branden, Garrett (Kristi), Stephen (Nicki Dajani) and Shawn Krause; three great grandchildren; sister-in-law Cheryl, numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Maggie.  She was preceded in death by her son, William Michael Krause; her brother Harmon “Frank” Joyner and her sister Margorie “Margie” Szymusiak (Kenneth).

Eva worked at Hereford High School for 25 years as the guidance secretary.  She also volunteered for the Johns Hopkins Children Center for many years.  She loved to sew blankets, afghans and quilts for Project Linus.  One of Eva’s favorite pastimes was duckpin bowling with her husband, Bill at Hampstead Bowling.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to a memorial service at Hartenstein Funeral Home, 24 N. Second St. New Freedom on Saturday, February 17th at 3:30pm.
