Alfred L. Cole

Alfred L. ‘Leroy’ Cole, 84, passed from this life on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. He was the husband of the late Audrey Yvonne (Sinclair) Cole who passed in 2021. Born in Baltimore, MD, Leroy was the son of the late James M. and Mary E. Cole. He proudly served in the U.S. Army in France. Leroy had worked at Potts & Callahan, and was a member of Local Union 37 Operating Engineers for over 60 years, retiring in 2009. He enjoyed his mule, bluegrass music, and playing in a band. Surviving is one son, Michael L. Cole, and a dear family friend and caretaker, Dawn M. Birley. He was preceded in death by two brothers. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a viewing from 1-2 p.m. Sunday, January 30, at West Liberty United Methodist Church, 20400 West Liberty Road, White Hall, MD21161 with a service beginning at 2 p.m. He will be buried in the adjoining church cemetery.
