Anna Marie Bollinger (Mays)

Anna Marie (Mays) Bollinger, 54, died Saturday, October 15, 2016, at her residence. She was the loving wife of Keith Bollinger and they recently celebrated 24 years of marriage. There will be a graveside service 1:30 pm Thursday, October 20, 2016, at Ayres Chapel Cemetery, Norrisville Road, White Hall, MD, with Rev. Melissa McDade officiating. J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, is assisting the family. Anna Marie was born February 2, 1962, in York, a daughter of Annamary (Wright) Lewis of Spring Grove, and the late Jacob Mays Jr., and stepdaughter of Steven Z. Lewis. Anna was a professor of writing, literature, and history, as well as a professional proofreader and avid reader. Surviving in addition to her husband, mother, and step-father, is a sister, Stephanie R. Mays Cade and her husband, Gordon of Spring Grove; five nieces and nephews, Anna LaRee Clinton, Thomas Turnbaugh, Jonathan Turnbaugh, Noah Turnbaugh, and Michael Cade. Anna Marie was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Kathryn Mays.
