Anna Pauline Heath, 80, passed from this life with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of David Wilmer Heath and they celebrated 64 years of marriage. Born in Baltimore, Md., Anna was the daughter of the late Marvin Ray Hackler, Sr. and Martha Anna (Heath) Hackler. Anna enjoyed sewing, quilting, bike riding, and antique collecting. Anna loved being with family. She always opened her house to family and friends. The grandchildren always stopped before and after school, enjoying breakfast and snacks. Anna loved hosting Saturday cookouts by the pool and Sunday afternoon lunches. She was Mamaw not just to her own grandchildren, but to so many more who loved and cherished her. Surviving in addition to her husband are three children, Marvin Heath, Johnny Heath and his wife, Tamie, and Janice Boyd and her husband, Gary; eight grandchildren, David & Melissa, Heidi & Danny, Kendi & Bradly, Brandon & Stephanie, Dylan & Alicia, Audrei & Matthew, Dakota & Jennifer, Tyler & Jessica; thirteen great grandchildren, Braydin, Maddex, Preston, Heath, Hopelyn, Aurelia, Peyton, Annalee, Roland, Mila, Carson, Emmeline, and Harper; and three siblings, Dorothy Jones and her husband, Harold, James Hackler and his wife, Deb, and Dennis Hackler and his wife, Barbara. Anna was preceded in death by four siblings, Shirley Carrier, Marvin Hackler, Samuel Hackler, and Lois Hollingshead. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a viewing from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, July 10, at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. 2nd St., New Freedom and on Monday, July 11, from 10-11 a.m. There will be a funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday with Anna’s grandson, Rev. Brandon Boyd officiating. Interment will follow in the Wiseburg Cemetery, White Hall, Md.
