Arlene Laverna Roseberry

Arlene LaVerna (Hunt) Roseberry, age 84, of Aliquippa (Beaver County), PA, formerly of Stewartstown (York County), PA, passed away after last long  illness on Monday, August 15, 2022. Daughter of the late David F. Hunt and late Olive G. (Ryder) Hunt; Beloved wife of the late retired Air Force TSgt Donald L. “Pete” Roseberry; cherished mother of Jeffery L. Roseberry of Tucson, AZ; Nancy Jo Roseberry of Aliquippa, PA, Matthew J. Roseberry (Renee) of Sweet Valley, PA, and the late Timothy L. Roseberry ; step-grandmother to 7; adoring aunt of 38 nieces and nephews and great-aunt of many; sister-in-law of June Fuhrman (late Art) of Rome, NY; and sister of the late Mary Shearer (Mervin), Pauline Amspacher (Claire), Mildred Hunt Becker (Harry), Hazel Shearer (Richard), Florence Heckert (Eugene), Marion Dubbs (John), Phyllis Amspacher (Stewart), and Vonny Klahold (Walt).  She was a Loving wife and mother; worked at L&L Service and L&L Fuel (Main Street, Stewartstown, PA); former Manager/Assistant Manager at C&R’s (Main Street, Stewartstown, PA); former bookkeeper at McCrory’s (York, PA), and a 1955 Graduate of Susquehannock High School, Glen Rock, PA.

She loved babies and children and was happiest watching after those entrusted to her care.  She loved to travel and saw many parts of the USA as an Air Force wife and later on vacations.  She loved her dogs Gracie (dachshund) and the late Whiskey and Buster (poodles).  She enjoyed reading, crocheting, sewing, listening to music, painting, drawing, doing ceramics, growing plants, gardening creating crafts, and watching old movies. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, former member of Zion Shaffer’s Lutheran Church (Seven Valleys, PA), where she served as a former council member, and attended Redeemer Lutheran Church (Monaca), PA.

Friends will be received Monday, August 22, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Tatalovich Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 2205 McMinn St., Aliquippa, PA.

The family will receive friends Thursday, August 25, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown, PA 17363.

Interment will follow in Zion (Shaffer’s) Lutheran Cemetery, Seven Valley, Pa.
