Arthur Hillard Young, Jr.

Arthur Hillard Young, Jr., 96, of Stewartstown passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. He was the husband of the late Dorothy Anna (Lohrmann) Young who passed away, September 15, 2017 with whom he celebrated 67 years of marriage. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Arthur Hillard and Nanette M. (Schrenberger) Young. There will be a time of visitation on Saturday, July 15, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 South Main St., Stewartstown. A Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Edward J. Robbins officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Arthur worked as a salesman at Carling’s National Brewing Company. He was a Member of Highland Lodge # 184 AF & AM, Baltimore Forest # 0045 Tall Cedars of Lebanon Valley of Baltimore Scottish Rite of Free Masonry. He was an United States Marine Corp. Veteran. Arthur enjoyed his time with his grandchildren, reading and watching Western movies and going to the Farmers Markets. He is survived by his three daughters Sharon M. Young, Kathleen A. Gray and her husband, Curt, Michele A. Farris and her husband, James K. and son Arthur H. Young, III and his wife, Lily ; 4 Grandchildren, Emily C. Young, James R. Farris, Caitlin A. Farris, and Kiera A. Farris. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jacob T. Young on December 23, 2022.
