Barbara A. Bowman

Barbara A. Bowman, 80, passed from this life on Sunday, January 22, 2023. She was the loving wife of the late Larry L. Bowman. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Ziegler) Sewell. Barbara had been an inspector with Stewart Connector Inc. for many years. Barb loved cooking, gardening, and most of all her family. She had a special gift of a green thumb for growing violets and a delicious peanut butter pie recipe she loved to share. Surviving are two children, Donna Hach and her husband, William, of Dallastown and Kenneth J. Seaman Jr. and his wife, Cindy, of York; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley Fortman of Fallston, MD, along with four stepchildren: Brenda, Donnie, Scott and Karen, 4 step grandchildren and several step great grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Schuler, and a sister, Elizabeth Vizzini. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. 2nd St., New Freedom, PA 17349 with a memorial service starting at 11 a.m. Interment is private and at the convenience of her family.
