Barbara J. Cimbolo

Barbara J. Cimbolo (nee Anderson) of Parkton, MD, age 80, passed away on November 9, 2022.  Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence E. Anderson and Frances L. Hittel.  She was the loving wife of the late Frank Cimbolo for 57 years before he passed in 2021.

Barbara was a devout Catholic, Pro-Life advocate and very active in her community.  She was a Girl Scout Leader for many years taking the girls on many adventures from camping and hiking to traveling to Europe and Canada.  She was incredibly charitable and was always lending a hand to help those who were less fortunate.  Barbara was a proud American, very patriotic and passionate about politics.  In her later years, she owned and operated a small business. She was an avid antique collector and enjoyed traveling with her late husband, Frank.  She and Frank built their dream home in the country and enjoyed decorating and entertaining for the holidays.  Christmas had a special place in Barbara’s heart.  Barbara loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.  She had an infectious laugh and loved to talk to her friends and her customers.

She is survived by three children, John Cimbolo, Carla Kotik (Jason) and Amy Meyers.  She was blessed with five grandchildren, Aaron, Jacob, Nathalie, Zachary and John; and sister Carol Charles.  She was predeceased by her husband and parents, and her brother David Hittel.

Funeral Liturgy will be held Friday, November 18, 2022, at 12:00 PM from St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 315 N. Constitution Ave. New Freedom, PA. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
