Barbara J. Stout

Barbara “Barb” J. Stout, 71, of Shrewsbury, PA passed away on Wednesday April 2, 2025. Born in Mount Clemens, Michigan, she was the daughter to the late Edward and Beverly (Allan) Zelinski. Barbara was a graduate of Patrick Henry High School in Ohio. She also went on to complete her associate degree in medical administration and medical coding from Florida Southwestern State College in 2007. Barbara joined the Army and became an Air Defense Intelligence Specialist during the Vietnam War, state-side. She also worked in office support as an Administrative Assistant for Easterseals. Barbara devoted her life to praying, singing, and reading the Bible. She practiced her faith by being an active member of the First Assembly of God in Fort Myers, FL assisting with administrative duties and as leader in many ministries. She is remembered by her 3 siblings, Michael Zelinski, Helen Zelinski, and Denise Zelinski and her 2 children Derrick Stout and Leanne Stout, several grandchildren, nieces & nephews. Barb’s family wishes to thank Southeastern Veterans Center and the hospice caregivers of Compassus. A Celebration of Life will be held on April 15, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.. Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, PA. Interment will follow in New Freedom Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara’s honor may be made to Women’s Ministries Ministry at First Assembly of God, 4701 Summerlin Rd, Fort Myers, FL 33919.
