Benjamin Tyler Coburn

Ben Coburn, 27, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017. Born in Baltimore, MD, Ben was the beloved son of Mark and Kathy Coburn of Shrewsbury. Surviving in addition to his parents, he leaves to cherish his memory, 2 sisters, Ashley Kelly and her husband, John and their children, Bryson and Brinley Kelly of Shrewsbury, Brittany Coburn and her children, Laila Coburn, Aaliyah Gordon and Jaxson Gordon of Shrewsbury; maternal grandmother, Minnie Ann Klone of Minnesota, and Jeff Klone and his wife, Stacy of Minnesota. Ben was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Phillip Klone, paternal grandmother, Phyllis Jane Coburn, aunts, Tammy Klone and Lorena Coburn. Ben studied Economics & Finance at Temple University, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree, graduating Cum Laude in 2013. He proudly worked for the Maryland Insurance Administration as a Junior Analyst in the Examination & Auditing Dept. There will be a viewing on Friday, December 22nd from 6-8:00pm at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St. New Freedom, PA. A service in honor of Ben’s memory will be held on Saturday, December 23rd at 11 A.M., at the funeral home in New Freedom. In lieu of flowers please send contributions made payable to Mark Coburn, and list in the memo line, Attention to: “Ben Coburn Memorial Fund”; BB&T Bank, 16576 Susquehanna Trail South, New Freedom, PA 17349. Donations will fund a bench at his favorite basketball court located next to his childhood home in memory of Ben.
