Benjamin J. Grossman

Benjamin James Grossman, 38, of Stewartstown, passed from this life unexpectedly on Monday, September 23, 2024. He was the son of Byron E. Grossman and Brenda L. Contreras.  He was born in Dixon, IL where he spent his early childhood surrounded by loving grandparents and many aunts, uncles and cousins.  Ben was young when he moved with his family to Pennsylvania, completed his schooling and graduated from Kennard-Dale High School.  He was employed by JT’s Lawn & Hauling at the time of his passing.  Ben was a member of Stewartstown American Legion Post 455 and VFW Post 7046 where he forged many friendships.  He enjoyed spending time with his friends, sharing conversations and making memories.  He cherished the love of those around him and held that love close to his heart; even sharing his soft side with a few.  His absence with be felt by many.

Surviving in addition to his parents is a brother, Brandon Grossman; two nieces, Brianna Grossman and Shayla Grossman; and a maternal grandmother, Gloria Contreras. He was preceded in death by a maternal grandfather, Lorenzo ‘Larry’ Contreras and paternal grandparents, Vernon Grossman and Leona Grossman.

Cremation rites have been accorded with interment to be held in Illinois.  A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2024, from 5pm - 7pm at the Stewartstown American Legion, 19222 Barrens Road South, Stewartstown, PA 17363 and all are welcome.  Memorial donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
