Bernard Frederick Clasing

On Tuesday, October 15, 2019, Bernard F. Clasing, Sr., 81, passed away at Wellspan York Hospital.He was the loving husband of Georgia E. (Bryant) Clasing. Bernard was born on February 5, 1938 in Baltimore, MD to the late Alfred E. and Mary (Neil) Clasing. He worked for Bethlehem Steel in Baltimore for many years.Bernard had many memberships, including, Prospect United Methodist Church in Gatchelville, the Order of the Masons, Eastern Star, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Tall Cedars of Lebanon Drum Corps, 32 Degree Scottish Rites, 2nd Marine Division, Vietnam Veterans of America, Seagull and Marine Association, Mid-Atlantic Association, and the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Georgia; three sons, David H., Bernard “Bernie” F. and Mark E. “Bubby” Clasing; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.Bernard was the baby of 13 children. Public viewing will be held on Thursday, October 17 from 3 to 5pm and 7 to 9pm and again on Friday, from 10am until a funeral service begins at 11am at Hartenstein Funeral and Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown.Interment will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York.
