Betty M. Swift

Betty M. Swift, 92, of Stewartstown passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.

She was the loving wife of the late Eugene "Pop" Swift. Born in Red Pump, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Reid and Lura (Walker) Joines.

Betty loved her family, enjoyed working, cleaning homes, gardening, flowers, and bluegrass music. She was a member of the Stewartstown Baptist Church.

Surviving are three children, Steven E. Swift (Cindy), Susan L. Hobbs and Kathy A. Heffner (Mike); seven grandchildren, Derek Swift, Aaron Swift (Jessica), Joshua Hobbs, Jillian Hobbs (Travis), Daniel Hobbs (partner Molly), Kyrstin Tobias (Quinn), and Jonathon Heffner (Elizabeth); two great grandchildren Ava and Camden Swift; six siblings Duke Joines, John Joines, Shirley Dixon, Dollie Hill, Charlotte Amspacher, and Marcie Conrad. She was preceded in death by eight siblings Mutt, Edward, Hort, Robert, Sam, and Marvin Joines, Mabel Jones, and Virginia Miller.

There will be graveside service on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Stewartstown Cemetery.
