Beverly Jane King

Beverly Jane King, 84, of New Freedom passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022. She was the loving wife of Paul L. “Son” King, together they would have celebrated sixty-seven years of marriage on December 31, 2022. Born in York, Beverly was the daughter of the late John Z. and Edna R. (Smith) Keeney and had two siblings, Rene Keeney, and Dolores Baker. Beverly drove school bus for Reliance Motor Coach for many years. She worked for Barbara J. Egan Nursing & Rehabilitation from 1981 until her retirement in 2000 after nineteen years of service.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two children, Renee J. Edwards, and her husband Joshua, of New Freedom and Christine Malone and her husband Timothy, of Dallastown; four grandchildren, Joshua Edwards and his spouse, Addeline, Caleb Edwards, Erin Malone and her fiancé Nicole Stewart, and Maggie Malone; and three great grandchildren, Gabriel Edwards, Sophie Alaniz and J.D. Edwards.

There will be a viewing from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 8 ^th , at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. 2nd Street, New Freedom, PA. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Paul (Hametown) Lutheran Cemetery. Relatives and friends attending are encouraged to dress casually.
