Bonnie Sue Rinker-Walker, 81, passed from this life on Saturday, February 25, 2023. She was the loving wife of Donald E. Walker and they were together for 31 years. Born in Bethlehem, PA, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Yolanda (DelVecchio) Thomas. Bonnie worked as a manager for Budget Hotel, as a hostess at San Carlos, and UPS, all of York. She was previously employed as security at Kunzler & Company, Inc. of Lancaster. She had worked at Walmart as a department manager for over 14 years, first in their E. York location and more recently in Shrewsbury. She had a house painting and cleaning business at one time and she had worked the voter polls for over 10 years. She enjoyed painting pictures, baking, candy making, breakfasts, and photography. Bonnie was a member of St. John (Sadler’s) Lutheran Church, participated in their choir and Church Council, and she was in charge of the funeral luncheons at one time. In addition, she was a member of the New Song Community Choir and the Shrewsbury Flower Club.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two children, Harry Rinker Jr. and his spouse, Alvaan of Allentown; and Paulanne Rinker of Charlotte, NC; 2 grandchildren, Johnathan Rinker and Ian Rinker; and a brother, Wilfred Thomas and his wife, Patricia.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, at St. John (Sadler’s) Lutheran Church, 2916 Sadler’s Church Road, Stewartstown, Pa 17363 with a funeral service starting at 11 a.m. Interment will be private and at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in Bonnie’s memory to: New Song Community Choir or to St. John (Sadler’s) Lutheran Church, PO Box 189, Stewartstown, PA 17363 (you can mail checks for either charity to the church).
