Bradley William Buchar

March 31, 1943 — April 4, 2018

On Wednesday, April 4, 2018, Bradley W. Buchar, 75, passed away at Wellspan York Hospital. He was the loving husband to Barbara A. (Mosca) Buchar. Brad was born March 31, 1943 in Baltimore, MD to the late Hubert E. and Marian Josephine (Jacobs) Buchar. After graduating from City High School in Baltimore, he proudly served his country in the US Navy. He then worked for the Government Printing Office as a proofreader until retirement. Brad was a member of the Glen Rock American Legion Post #403; New Freedom VFW Post #7012; NRA; Senior Softball League; coin club and the stamp club. He enjoyed going to Wehrly’s Auction, the New Eastern Market, archery; tinkering with Ham radios; playing ping-pong and going fishing. Surviving him are his wife; children, Kimberly Dawn (Buchar) Nolet and husband Philippe, and Ryan Matthew Buchar and wife Hannah O’Connor (King) Buchar; six grandchildren, Amaya J. Nolet, Jacob A. Kelley, Karissa D. Nolet, Zane A. Nolet, Brody S. Buchar and Gwen A. Buchar; he is also survived by one brother, Dennis Rodney Buchar. Public viewing will be from 3:30 pm until a funeral service begins at 5:30 pm on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Hartenstein Funeral and Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. Interment will be private.
