Brenda Lenora Covington, 74, passed away Friday, November 27, 2015. She was the loving wife of Gordon E. Covington and they would have celebrated 54 years of marriage on December 2. A memorial gathering will be held from 10 a.m. until a Memorial Service begins at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 4, at Hunt Valley Church, 13015 Beaver Dam Road, Hunt Valley, MD 21030. Interment will follow in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, Timonium. The family is being assisted by J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, PA. Brenda was born in Baltimore, Md., a daughter of the late John Thomas Williams, Sr. and Ava (McDowell) Williams. She was a homemaker and enjoyed traveling, reading, gardening, dining, and was an animal lover. Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Kellie Ann, wife of Dwight Hopkins, Pasadena, Md., and Karen Lynn, wife of Todd Fisher, Forest Hill, Md.; four grandchildren, Ryan, Kyle, Brady and Erin Fisher. Brenda was preceded in death by a brother, John Thomas Williams, Jr. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Brenda's memory to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
