Carole A. Maddox

Carole A. Maddox, 73, of Lancaster and formerly of New Freedom, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022. Carole is survived by her husband of 48 years, Thomas W. Maddox. She was born July 7, 1948 in York, PA to the late Edwin J. and Rhoda Beatrice (Adams) Spicer. Carole enjoyed reading, playing piano, Mahjong computer games and listening to music. She appreciated a hot cup of tea, antiques, flower gardening, and loved dogs and frogs. She will be missed by all dear to her. Carole is survived by her husband, Thomas; two children, Chris (Karen) Maddox, and Audrey Maddox; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Maddox. Carole was preceded in death by her brother Edwin F. Spicer. A public visitation will be held from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM on Friday, April 1, 2022 at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc. located at 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, PA 17349. A funeral service will begin at 5:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Howard Edmondson officiating. Interment will be scheduled at a later date.
