Carolyn J. Lemen

Carolyn J. Lemen, formerly of Delta, fell asleep in death on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at the age of 78. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late John G. Fenwick and Doris M. (Lewis) Fenwick.

Carol graduated from Parkville Senior High School, class of 1964. She was a dedicated member of the Fawn Grove Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses since 1994. Carol had many passions in life. She had a love for all things living, but especially horses. She loved music, DJ-ing with her husband in their younger years, dancing, and collecting recipes. But her greatest passions were her family as well as her high school love and husband Bob (Robert A. Lemen), with whom she shared 56 years of marriage. Together they raised 4 children, Rhonda Boyce (husband, David), Ron Lemen (wife, Dawn), Melisa Hutton (husband, Bob) and John Fenwick III (partner, Patty). She has 4 grandchildren- Jordan and Brady Lemen and Brianna and Mya Hutton, and 1 brother, John G. Fenwick II (wife, Phyllis). She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, who died in March of 2022.

Carol was also a treasured friend to many. She was kind, caring, and selfless. She kept an open-door policy throughout her life, always willing to help out a friend in need of a place to stay or taking in a stray animal who found its way to her door.

She was also fearless and brave. While she had a fear of heights and snakes, she did not fear death at all. She courageously faced her terminal illness and died with dignity and grace, but not before fulfilling every item on her bucket list, which consisted of enjoying all of her favorite foods one more time and petting a beautiful horse with her family by her side. She is already sorely missed...

A private viewing was held for the immediate family on Friday, March 15. There will also be a celebration of Carol's life on Saturday, April 20 at 5pm at the Fawn Grove Kingdom Hall 987 Brown Rd, New Park, PA 17352. Please text Rhonda Boyce for more information at 717-606-2077.
