Catherine Lonas

Catherine D. Lonas, 83, of Stewartstown, passed away Friday, February 24, 2023. Born in Richlands, VA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (Hobbs) Sergent. Catherine was the beloved wife of the late Stanley E. Lonas.

Catherine loved gardening, knitting, and crocheting. She also enjoyed cooking and baking. She loved her grandchildren and spending time with her family. Her family describes her as the “best mom ever” and said she was always happy. Catherine loved to travel whenever she could. She was a veteran of the Air Force.

Catherine is survived by her 3 children, Mike J. Lonas, Catherine Lonas, and Chris S. Lonas; 6 grandchildren, Alysia L. Routson, Cassandra L. Lonas, Sophia C. Lonas, Emma Lonas, Jillian M. Lonas, and Benjamin Lonas; 1 great grandchild, Coraline; and 2 siblings. She was preceded in death by granddaughter, Haley K. Lonas; 3 siblings; along with her husband and parents.

A public memorial service will be held Sunday March 19, 2023, beginning at 1:00pm at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc. 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown, PA 17363. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
