Catherine Marie Matthews (Zentgraft)

On Monday, February 5, 2018, Catherine M. Matthews, 90, passed away at home with family by her side. She was the loving wife of the late Allen W. Matthews. Catherine was born August 10, 1927 in Towson, MD to the late Allen and Francis Zentgraft. In her working years, she was an electronics technician for AAI Aircraft in Cockeysville, MD. She was a devoted member of Gunpowder Baptist Church in Freeland, MD. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra M. Baldwin and her husband, Gerry; one granddaughter, Traci Wisniewski and husband, Jesse; one great-granddaughter, Elexus Snow; one great-great-granddaughter, Rylie Baldwin; and one niece, Catherine Arrington. She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; three siblings, Howard Zentgraft, Margaret Arrington and Eugene Zentgraft; two nieces; and one nephew. Public viewing will be from 11 a.m. until a funeral service begins at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Hartenstein Funeral and Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion United Methodist Cemetery, Freeland, MD.
