Cherie Middleton (Kiefer)

Cherie (Kiefer) Middleton, 88, died Monday, Nov. 16, 2015, at her residence in Hanover. She was the wife of T. Edward Middleton. Ed and Cherie celebrated 66 years of marriage on December 15, 2014. Following cremation, a Funeral Liturgy will be held 11 a.m. Monday, November 30, 2015, at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 315 N. Constitution Ave., New Freedom, PA, officiated by the Rev. Sylvan P. Capitani. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Cherie was born May 15, 1927, in Flint, Mich., a daughter of the late Louis W. and Marguerite (Campbell) Kiefer.Cherie was a 1946 graduate of St. Mary's College of Maryland. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, New Freedom. Cherie is survived by three sons, Ted Middleton and his wife Sally, Del Mar, Calif., Jay C. Middleton and his wife Linda, Dagsboro, Del., and John G. Middleton and his wife Torre, Solana Beach, Calif.; one daughter, Laurie Johnson and her husband Troy, New Freedom; 10 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. She was predeceased by a son, Louis W. Middleton; and a brother, Jack G. Kiefer.Memorial contributions may be made to Animal Rescue, Inc., A Sanctuary For Life, P.O.
