Cheryl Ann Flaharty

Cheryl Ann (Lowe) Flaharty, 75, of Stewartstown passed away Saturday, August 13, 2022. Born in York, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edgar and Miriam Louise (Johnson) Lowe. Cheryl graduated from Kennard-Dale High School; Class of 1965. She worked as a procurement specialist; retiring from the U.S. Federal Government. Cheryl loved reading, gardening, and baking. She enjoyed playing cards with friends and holidays with her extended family. She loved public television, especially British programs and cherished six years with her Cavalier King Charles spaniel. She was an active member of Prospect United Methodist Church and enjoyed getting together with her former classmates. Cheryl is survived by her 2 daughters, Beth L. Stevens (David), and Melanie A. Flaharty; 2 brothers, John H. Lowe and Randy C. Lowe and former spouse, Lonny E. Flaharty. A public viewing will be held Friday, August 19, 2022 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Prospect United Methodist Church, 8 Orchard Rd. New Park, PA 17352. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
