Christopher Ian Raul

Christopher Ian Raul, 20, of New Freedom passed Monday, October 25, 2021 at WellSpan York Hospital from injuries sustained from a work related accident. Born in York, he was the son of Ashley S. Mahone and Richard D. Folderauer of New Freedom and Christopher R. Raul. Ian as he was known graduated from Susquehannock High School.After he graduated he worked at Saubel's for a couple years until moving on to his most recent job at Johnson Controls.He was a music junkie and enjoyed video games, watching and critiquing movies, hiking, and other various outdoor activities.He had a larger than life sense of humor.Most of all he enjoyed interacting with his family. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister Kameryn Folderauer; maternal grandparents Rickey and Norma Jean Mahone, paternal grandparents Michael and Ellen Folderauer and Richard and Mary Raul; four uncles and aunts David and Caitlyn Folderauer, Matthew and Maria Mahone, Josh and Kaye Mahone and Jabin and Nickee Mahone; many cousins and friends. Ian was preceded in death by a paternal grandmother Robin Raul. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 7:00PM from Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St. New Freedom. Interment will be private. Viewing will be held from 4pm until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
