Clair Evan Nace

Clair Evan Nace, 69, of New Freedom died peacefully at home on Thursday, August 9, 2018. Born February 19, 1949, in Shrewsbury, he was the son of the late Elmer G. and Margaret (Wolf) Nace. He was the beloved husband of Linda Nace whom he shared 20 years of marriage. Clair graduated from Susquehannock High School, Class of 1967. He was a United States Army Veteran who served during 1973-1975. Clair worked as a Farm and Truck Tire Repairman at Service Tire Truck Center in York. He was a member of New Hope (Fissel’s) United Church of Christ.Clair enjoyed camping and cruising. In addition to his wife Linda; Clair is survived by 3 children, Robert L. Mitzeland his wife Terri, Michael L. Mitzel and his wife Lori, and Debra L. Mitzel; a granddaughter Jade R. Mitzel; 2 brothers Clarence Nace and his wife Eileen and Carroll Nace and his wife Schreall; 2 sisters Hilda Arendt and Hazel Mummert; and many nieces and nephews. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 10:00- 12:00 pm at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc.; 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, PA with a Service beginning at 12:00 pm with his pastor, Rev. Julian Hall officiating. Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, PA is assisting the family with arrangements.
