Clinton Andrew Rice, 39, of Glen Rock, died unexpectedly Sunday, Jan. 23, 2022. Born on May 8, 1982, Clint grew up on a farm in Glen Rock and graduated from Susquehannock High School. He was mechanically-inclined, even as a child, and could fix all kinds of things. Clint loved cars, boating, traveling and his dogs. His heart was big and he would help anyone he could. He worked as a mechanic and was an independent contractor plowing snow for many years. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hammond A. and Dorothy Rice, and Dr. Leonard T. and Rose Saltysiak, all of Parkton, Md.; and his step-grandmother, Betty Martin, of Middle River, Md., and his step-grandfather, Jim Demarest, of Baltimore, Md. He is survived by his daughters, Abygayle and Gabriella; his parents, Stephen H. Rice and his wife, Jean, of Seven Valleys, Pa., and Parksley, Va., and Patricia Demarest and her husband, Thomas, of Baltimore; his siblings, Stephen H. Rice Jr., of Emerald Isle, N.C., and Rose Roberts and her husband, Craig, of Brookville, In.; his nephew and nieces, Grant, Claire and Teagan Roberts; his step-grandmother, Mary Demarest, of Baltimore; and his stepsister, Cheryl Young and her husband, Frederick, of Jacobus, Pa., and her children, Sarah Houser, Stephanie Houser and Patrick Snyder. He is also survived by his longtime girlfriend, Nicole Billet, of Glen Rock. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 19, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Pond View Farm, in White Hall, Md. Hartenstein Funeral Home, of New Freedom, Pa., is serving the family.
