Clyde A. Cheek

Clyde A. Cheek, 78, of Glen Rock died Sunday, May 2, 2021 at home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Betty J. (Howell) Cheek with whom he would have celebrated a 58th wedding anniversary on May 5, 2021. Clyde was born in York, PA a son of the late Wallace F. and Ella Mae (Watson) Cheek. Clyde was a life long farmer who took great pleasure working on his farm. But his greatest pleasure was his three sons, Mark A. Cheek and his wife Tina of Glen Rock, Ronald L. Cheek and his wife Randi of Spring Grove, and Nathan E. Cheek and his wife Angie of East Berlin; three grandchildren Brock A. Cheek and his wife Kara of Glen Rock, Bethany M. Leydic and her husband Cory of Elkton, MD, and Hunter L. Cheek of Hanover; four great-grandchildren Oliver, Henry, Lydia and Wesley. He also leaves special nephews and nieces Carolyn Adams Shepperd and her husband Doug of White Hall, MD, Kimberly Adams-Held and her husband Nam of White Hall, MD, and their son Xander L. Adams-Held of White Hall, MD and Batina (Howell) Scott and her husband Drake of South York, Sherrie Cole and her husband Robert, Donnie Adams and his wife Debra and Joe Bare and his wife Bethany; one brother Larry Cheek of Lenoria, NC and one sister R. Inice Cheek Miller of Glen Rock. Clyde was preceded in death by two sisters Charlotte Cheek Shaffer and A. Bernice Bare. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 11AM from Glen Rock Church of Christ, 3899 Sticks Rd., Glen Rock, PA 17327. Interment will be held in Stabler’s Cemetery, Parkton, MD. Viewings will be held on Wednesday evening from 7-9pm at the church and on Thursday from 10am until the time of the service at the church. Attendees will be required to wear a mask and practice social distancing. Clyde was a longtime member of the Glen Rock Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his church at the above listed address.
