Curtis R. Ziegler, Jr.

Curtis R. Ziegler, Jr., 56, passed away surrounded by his loving family on February 16, 2023. He was born on July 19,1966 in Seymour, Indiana, to Janet (Ackert) Ziegler and the late, Curtis Robert Ziegler.

Curtis was a proud veteran and enjoyed his time served in the Navy. He worked for many years with the York County Prison as a security guard and served on their swat team. Curtis loved fishing, hunting, and shooting guns and loved to work on car engines. He also enjoyed listening to guitar music and flying drones. Above all else, Curtis was a family man and his daughter, Caitlin, was the light of his life.

Curtis is survived by his daughter, Caitlin Ziegler; mother, Janet Ziegler; siblings, Donald Ray Almoney and his wife, Thelma, Lynn Marie Gleason and her husband, Bill, Cynthia Lee Almoney, Caroll Terrell, and Susan Sullivan and her husband. Curtis was loved by many and will be missed by all that knew him.

There will be a viewing from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday, February 24 at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main Street, Stewartstown, PA 17363, with a service beginning at 12 noon with Rev. David W. Burk officiating. Interment will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York, with full military honors. The family requests that the dress be casual,  no suits, per Curtis’ wishes.
