Cynthia Doreen Tubbs

Cynthia Doreen Tubbs, 53, passed from this life after a long battle with brain cancer on Sunday, December 31, 2023. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of Carl Franklin Atwell Jr. and the late Shirley Ann (Hotte’) Atwell and was the wife of the late Anthony Allen Tubbs. Cynthia attended North Harford High School as well as Harford Technical High School.

Cynthia was employed as an assembler in the medical manufacturing industry, working at various local companies to include Becton Dickinson and AMP. She enjoyed gardening, taking walks, and spending time with her grandson. Smokey, her pet cat, was always around her especially when gardening.  She was a strong hard-working individual and had a charismatic personality. She will be forever loved by her family and will be missed by all who knew her.

Surviving is daughter Alisha D. Tubbs and her partner, Nick Helsel; grandson, Garrett Helsel of New Freedom; a sister, Anita Elaine Sullivan; a nephew, Ciaran Sullivan; a step-grandmother, Linda Atwell; and a companion, Joseph F Graleski, Jr. of New Freedom.
