Dane R. Grove

Dane Russell ‘Rusty’ Grove, 79, passed from this life on Sunday, October 13, 2024. He was the loving husband to Carol L. (Doyle) Grove and they celebrated 41 years of marriage in November of 2023.

Dane graduated from Red Lion High School and earned a Bachelor of Science from Elizabethtown College, followed by his CPA license. After several years working for the government, he became an entrepreneur, running a successful home health agency. Dane was admired for his dedication to improving lives and his unwavering focus on “doing the right thing”.

Later, he pursued his passion for real estate, earning his realtor license and continuing to contribute to his community.  He often spoke about how much he loved his work, his colleagues, and his clients. In his free time, Dane enjoyed playing video games, spending time with his grandchildren, and complaining about the wait when checking out of the grocery store.

Surviving in addition to his beloved wife, Carol, is a son, Michael Grove and his spouse, Stefani, and a daughter, Ashley Grove and her partner Brandon Mock; 4 grandchildren, Saphire Proctor, Clay Johnson, Autumn Johnson, and Lucas Grove; and a brother, Corey Grove and his wife, Ellie. Dane was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Lisa Toledo and a brother, Darr Grove.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a viewing from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, October 17 from Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. 2nd St., New Freedom, PA 17349. There will be a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 18 from Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc. Interment will follow in the Lebanon Lutheran Cemetery in Felton.
