David Joines

David Joines, 82, passed from this life on Saturday, January 15, 2022. He was the husband of Joan (Wetzel) Joines and they were married for 34 years. Born in High Rock, Pa, he was the son of the late Reid E. and Laura M. (Walker) Joines. Dave was a carpenter by trade with Carpenters Local No. 191, and was the business agent for the union. He proudly served in the Army and was an avid hunter and gardener. Surviving in addition to his wife is a step son, Shad Shoup and his wife, Jennifer, and their children, Caleb and Ethan Shoup; Dave’s four children, Abbie Sealover, and her son, Michael Sealover, Joy Miles and her husband, Keith and their children Luke and Seth Miles, Reid Joines and his son, Cash Joines, Barb Channell and her husband, Chris and their children Nicholas, Dalton, and Lillie Channell. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Rachel Shoup. Dave was one of 15 children. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a viewing from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 22, at Grace Fellowship Church Shrewsbury,74 E. Forrest Ave., Shrewsbury, with a service starting at 1:30 p.m. He will be laid to rest in Mount Pleasant Cemetery immediately following the service. Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S.
