David W Kerns

David W. Kerns Sr., 87, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021. He was the loving husband of the late Beulah (Shrout) Kerns who passed in 1986. Born in Bloomery, WV, Dave was the son of the late Harvey O. and Thelma (Rohe) Kerns. He had worked for GM for 31 years. Dave enjoyed hunting, fishing,working on cars and was always available to help a neighbor repair their cars. He was also a preacher at Charity Temple in Middle River, MD, for many years. He was a wonderful man and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Surviving are four children, Linda M. Sanders and her husband, Larry of Abingdon, Md., Patricia K. Estes and her husband, Steve of Windsor, David W. Kerns Jr. and his wife, Donna of Stewartstown and Donald W. Kerns and his wife, Kelly of Harrisburg, IL.; 4 grandchildren, Laurie Greer, Erica Lewis, Daniel Kerns, and Dustin Kerns; 3 great grandchildren, Erin Lewis, Aiden Lewis, and Zoe Greer; a step grandson, Dylan Hodges; 2 step great grandchildren, Annie and Deklin Hodges; a brother, Vernon Kerns. Dave was preceded in death by siblings Robert, Ercel, Nancy and Rosalie. Services and interment will be announced at a later date and will occur in West Virginia.
