David M. "Rick" Patrick

August 2, 1972 — September 22, 2016

David Michael “Rick” Patrick, Jr., died Thursday, September 22, 2016, in a motor vehicle accident. He was the loving husband of Amy (Rinehart) Patrick and they celebrated 21 years of marriage on April 29, 2016. A viewing will be held from 7 pm until 9 pm Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. A funeral service will be held Thursday, September 29, at 10 am at the mortuary. Interment will be in Windsor Cemetery, Windsor. Born August 2, 1972, in Waynesboro, VA, Rick was the son of Rosalie (Farside) Patrick of Minotola, NJ, and the late David M. Patrick, Sr. He was currently employed as a superintendent by Concrete Protection & Restoration, Inc. of Baltimore, MD. He loved spending time in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, woodworking, spending time with his family and friends, and loved cracking jokes. Rick enjoyed having a good time and was always the life of the party. He was a wonderful, loving, hardworking man who made his family extremely proud to call him their husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He was caring and thoughtful, dropping whatever he was doing to help someone out. He will be sorely missed by his family. Surviving in addition to his wife are two children: Alyssa Marie Patrick (who just left for boot camp in Missouri), and David M. Patrick, III, at home; four siblings, Debbie Michelle Woodard, and her husband Ben of NC, Paul Andrew Patrick of Dallastown, Rachael Anne Patrick of Minotola, NJ, and Katie Alana Hill, and her husband Terry of Minotola, NJ.
