Dean Edward Miller

Dean E. Miller, 63, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021. He was the loving husband of Linda (Dill) Miller and they celebrated 43 years of marriage on November 17. Born in York, he was the son of the late James G. and R. Elizabeth (Blevins) Miller. Dean was the owner/operator of his own hauling business, Dean E. Miller, Hay and Straw. He had an unparalleled work ethic and enjoyed farming and being outdoors. Dean treasured his family and loved camping, traveling, as well as both playing and listening to bluegrass music. He enjoyed the company of his many, many friends and never met a stranger that was a stranger for long. He genuinely loved people. He was always eager to help anyone in need, and had an intuitive mind to fix just about anything. Anyone who knew him would agree, he’s one of the best men they would ever meet. Dean continued his walk with the Lord into Heaven. Surviving in addition to his wife are two children, Dean Mitchell Miller and his wife, Diana of Stewartstown and Jennifer Lynn Pickel and her husband, Steven of Shrewsbury; 2 grandchildren, Madelyn and Alaina Pickel; a brother, Larry J. Miller and his wife, Sally of York; a niece, Michelle Miller of NY; and a nephew, Timothy Miller of York. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Friday, November 26, from 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday, November 27, from 9-11 a.m. at the Shrewsbury Assembly of God, 234 N. Main St., Shrewsbury, PA 17361. There will be a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, November 27 at 11 a.m., also at Shrewsbury Assembly of God.
