Dean L. Mitzel

Dean L. Mitzel, 85, of Stewartstown, PA, passed away at home after his battle with cancer. Born in Windsor Township on January 26, 1939, he was a son to the late Millard and Marie (Mundis) Mitzel. Dean was the husband of the Late Glenda Raines Mitzel. They were married for 43 years at the time of her death.

Dean was a loving and kind husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and companion. He loved his job and Coworkers. He worked full time at Barton’s Orchard for 42 years and Part Time at Shaws Orchard for 19 years.  Dean was loved very much by his Family, Friends and will be greatly missed.

Dean is survived by his companion of 19 years, Louise Fulton; daughter, Lisa Brazzon and her husband Patrick; grandson, Jesse Everhart and his wife Krystie; great-granddaughter, Linden Everhart; as well as a niece and two nephews. Dean was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Glenda Mitzel; daughter, Sara Mitzel Hilbert; grandson, Garrison Everhart; and brother, Duane Mitzel.

Family and friends are invited to a public viewing on Monday, July 22, 2024 from 6-8 PM at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown, PA 17363. A funeral service will be held at 3 PM, Tuesday, July 23, at the Stewartstown United Methodist Church, 26 S. Main St., Stewartstown. Interment will follow the service in the Stewartstown Cemetery. In Lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to St Jude's Children’s Research Hospital.
