Denise A Lewis

Denise A. (Marks) Lewis, 71, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2023. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Martha A. (Stanton) and the late Wharton I. Marks.

Denise work for Herley Industries; she was a social member of the Spring Grove VFW, the AMVETS post in Hanover, the Moose Lodge in Hanover, as well as the Republican Club. Denise used to love to ride motorcycles and horses. She loved going to the beach. Above all she loved her grand-babies and great grand-babies. There wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do for her family. Denise was a great sister, mother, and grandmother.

Denise is survived by her son, Lou Lewis, and her daughter, Christina Duncker; grandchildren, Nathan Prout and Jordan Cool; great grandchildren, Emily Prout and Journey Cool; siblings, Rose Bowen, Wharton Marks, Richard Marks, Evelyn Davison, and Thomas Marks; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Justin Lewis.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to a public viewing from 12:00 – 2:00 PM, Friday, August 25, 2023, at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. 2nd St., New Freedom, PA 17349. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with interment immediately following in the Glen Rock Union Cemetery, 310 Church St., Glen Rock, PA 17327.
