Dennis C. Henry, 73, of Dallastown passed away Friday, December 10, 2021 after a long battle with dementia. He was the loving husband of Barbara (Harris) Henry to whom he was married 54 years. Born in Stewartstown, he was the son of the late Clair and Margaret (Blevins) Henry. Dennis graduated from Kennard-Dale High School and graduated from York College with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He was a CPA with Miller & Company, a former CFO of the Quarryville Home, and retired in 2011 from King & Associates. He was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church in Fawn Grove, where he served as an elder and deacon. Dennis enjoyed working around the house and keeping a well-manicured lawn. His focus was always on family and his church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters Stephanie Ferree, spouse of Curtis, and Jennifer Dunigan, spouse of Barrett; one grandson Benjamin Ferree and one sister Brenda Tome, spouse of Bill. He was preceded in death by one sister Glenda Sterner. Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St. Stewartstown, Pennsylvania. Inurnment will be held in Dallastown Union Cemetery with full military honors by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. A visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lifesong Hospice and Palliative Care, 3880 Tecport Drive, Suite 2, Harrisburg, PA 17111 in his memory. The family would like to thank the staff, nurses, and aids of Providence Place Senior Living as well as Lifesong Hospice for the exceptional care of Dennis.
