Dixie J. Kohler

Dixie Jane Kohler, 80, of Stewartstown, passed away at home on Thursday, February 16, 2023. Born in Stewartstown, she was the daughter of the late Franklin C. and Clara L. (Talbert) Clark. Dixie was the beloved wife of Kenneth E. Kohler for 62 years.

Dixie graduated from Kennard-Dale High School in the class of 1960. She worked as a nurses aide for 30 years and provided  exceptional care and love to many patients in local nursing homes. Dixie was a wonderful cook and loved doing it. She loved God, the elderly and animals. She was a good friend to many people, who then became part of her family. Dixie was a devout Christian, loving wife and mother, and was very dedicated to her family.

In addition to her husband, Ken, Dixie is survived by her daughter Deborah Spatar and her husband Gordon; her brother Jack Casey.

A private grave side service will be held on Thursday, February 23, beginning at 1pm, at Old Hopewell Cemetery, West Liberty Rd., Stewartstown, PA 17363.
