Donald Edward Swank "Donnie", age 59, lost his battle with ALS and entered eternal peace at his home on Wednesday, July 24,2019. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, on April 29, 1960, he was the son of the late Clarence Swank, Sr. and Lena Swank. He was a loving brother to Clarence Swank Jr. and of the late Larry Swank.Donnie was the loving father of Bethany Epperson and his granddaughters, Nevaeh Epperson and Nataliya Epperson.He was the loving step-father of Dakota Gotwalt.He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Donnie worked for Becton Dickinson with an amazing "work family" that he loved dearly for 34 years.He was the president of the Mason Dixon Car Club which was one of his biggest passions.Donnie enjoyed working on his hot rods, riding his Harley, hunting, fishing, spending time with his friends, his morning breakfasts with Ron Downin, and he cherished his time with his loving family. Donnie brought a smile to everyone's face and he would go out of his way to help anyone in need. He had a way about him that just made people feel better. He was a strong willed man with a sarcastic sense of humor that brought smiles and laughter everywhere he went. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a viewing on Friday, August 2, 2019, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main Street, Stewartstown. There will be a funeral service on Saturday, August 3, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York.More details will appear later.
