Donald E. Wood

Donald E. Wood "Don", 67, of Glen Rock, PA, passed away on Monday, November 21 ^st , 2022, surrounded by loved ones at his home. Don was born on April 11, 1955, at York Hospital. He graduated from Hereford High in 1973.  He spent 35 years employed by Pepsi and known by many in the community as the "Pepsi Man".  After retirement, Don held part-time employment through Saubel’s Markets.

Donald was a hardworking man who loved his family.  He often reflected on the time in 1972 when he climbed a water tower and wrote the initials of him and the love of his life.

Don is proceeded in death by his beloved wife, Terrie Wood (Lewis), who passed away suddenly earlier this year.  He is also proceeded in death by his parents, Andrew and Rachel Wood, in-laws, Doug and Gerri Lewis, and a sister, Shirley Fix (Wood).  Don is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Landis (Wood) and her husband Chad, Emily Stranix and her husband, Zach, grandchildren Lukas, Levi, and Olivia, German Shepard, Sadie, and an African Gray Parrot, Gerkin.  He is survived by sisters, Diane Demoss (Wood) and husband, Steve (Stewartstown), Brenda Wood-Horn and husband, Ed (Glen Rock), Amy Fry (Elkton) and brother, Richard Wood (Stewartstown). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.  Donald was loved by many.

A viewing will be held Sunday, November 27, from 2 - 4 PM at Hartenstein Funeral and Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. 2nd St., New Freedom, PA 17349. Interment is private and at the convenience of his family.
