Doris Lee Caruccio passed away on January 25, 2022. Doris was the beloved wife of Michael N. Caruccio; loving mother of Rick Caruccio, Nick Caruccio, and Lisa Walz and her husband, Ken; adored grandmother of Dave, Trevin, Jordan, Danielle, Alexandra, Zack, Taylor, and Campbell; and proud great-grandmother of eight. She was born on July 12, 1941 in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Smith and Mary (Hartsock) Dixon. Along with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, Doris is survived by dear siblings, Carol O’Hara, Ray Dixon, and Robert Dixon; she was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters. She was loved by many and will be missed by all. Doris worked in the banking industry for many years with her last role being an ATM installation trainer. Following her career, she was a proud homemaker. Doris was an avid reader, enjoyed puzzles, and looked forward to playing cards with family and friends. Her family looked forward to her incredible homemade family meals every Sunday in “Doris’ Kitchen”. Doris loved her family above all. A viewing will be held at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Cares, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, PA 17349, on Monday, January 31st from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm. A funeral service will begin at 7:00 pm. Interment will be held at a later date in Garrison Forest Veteran’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doris’ memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. www.stjude.org
