Doris L. Kline

Doris L. Kline, 86, passed from this life on Sunday, February 19, 2023. She was the loving wife of the late Charles F. Kline Sr. who passed in 1986. Born in New Freedom, Doris was the daughter of the late Melvin K. and Louise C. (Brown) Boyer. Doris was a homemaker who raised 5 kids, a farmer's daughter who knew the value of hard work, and above all her greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devout Christian and proud member of the New Freedom Church of the Brethren. Doris will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Surviving are three children, Jane L. Wirtz and her husband, Robert of New Freedom, Robert M. Kline of Shrewsbury, and Susan E. Harris of York; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and two siblings, Mary A. Simmers of Shrewsbury, and Clara M. Rohrbaugh and her husband, David of Shrewsbury. Doris was preceded in death by a son, Charles F. Kline Jr., a daughter Faye A. Wildason, and a sister Betty J. Ferguson.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a viewing from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, February 27 at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. 2 ^nd St., New Freedom, PA 17349 with a funeral service starting at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Bowser’s Cemetery in New Freedom.
