Doris E. Layesman

Doris E. Layesman, 102, of York formerly of Stewartstown passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Rest Haven Rehab & Nursing in York. Born in Parkton, MD she was a daughter of the late Howard and Lola (Thompson) Bull. Doris was the wife of the late Jesse W. Layesman, and she was an avid quilter and enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens. Doris also loved talking with her sisters, caring for the cats that call her farm home and telling many stories about her life and times on the farm where she had lived for over 80 years. She is survived by five great-nephews R. Glenn Martin, Jr., Brooks Martin, Bradley Martin, Kurt Martin and Kyle Martin; one great-niece Danielle Giles. Doris was preceded in death by her three sisters Evelyn Cole, Edith Martin and Anna Rosier; her two brothers Arthur Bull and Harvey Bull; and her two nephews Roger Martin and Gerald Martin. Funeral services will be private and limited to members of the family.
