Doris Stahler

Doris E. (Palmer) Stahler, 97, of Parkton, MD, passed away Monday, May 6, 2024 at her home. She was the loving wife of the late Ralph Wellington Stahler who passed in 2016. Born in Hereford, MD, she was the daughter of the late Percy “Wade” and Madeline E. (Bull) Palmer.

Doris was a lifetime member at Parke Memorial United Methodist Church in Parkton. She taught Sunday School for many years, teaching multiple generations of families. She held many positions at the church including Sunday School teacher, choir member, and superintendent. Doris was always involved and active at the church in some form, including helping with the suppers the church offered. Doris loved her family; she cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Doris is survived by her son, Chris Stahler; grandchildren, Michael and Mury; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Payton, Emma, and Zeke; and cousin, Clinton Kearney who was like a brother to her. She was predeceased by her son, Ralph “Bill” Stahler; and siblings, Lee, Carl, Glenn, and cousin Ronny.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 10 AM at Parke Memorial United Methodist Church, 18908 York Rd., Parkton, MD 21120.
