Duane A. Hoff

Duane A. Hoff, 84, of Freeland, MD, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023. Born in Paterson, NJ, he was the son of the late Ray and Mary “Molly” (Smith) Hoff. Duane was the beloved husband to Barbara Gail “Barbie” (Blair) Hoff for 41 years.

Duane was a Marine and member of the American Legion post 403 of Glen Rock. He was also a member of the Bethlehem Steltz Church Congregation and the Moose International Fraternity, attending in Crescent City, FL. Duane loved to travel with his wife and kids, visiting all 50 states, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Europe. They especially enjoyed visiting the national parks, family and friends. Duane liked driving and admiring cars and taking his classic car to car shows. He also enjoyed sports and reading history.

In addition to his wife, Barbara, Duane is survived by 5 children, Duane Ray Hoff (Beth), Kurt Hoff (Sarah), Jennifer Hoff, Daniel “Dan” Hoff (Kiri), and Eric Hoff; 8 grandchildren, Emily Hoff, Ethan Hoff, Charlotte Hoff, Iggy Hoff, Samantha Bohl, Stephen Bohl, Valerie Hoff, and Adalyn Hoff; and his brother Kenneth “Kenny” Hoff (Alana). He was preceded in death by his brother Wendell Hoff (Jane).

A public viewing will be held Saturday, November 18 from 3-4pm at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc. 24 N. 2nd St, New Freedom, PA 17349. A graveside service will follow at Bethlehem Steltz Reformed Church 5890 Steltz Rd, Glen Rock, PA 17327.
