Edward E. 'Pete' Miller

Edward E. ‘Pete’ Miller, 83, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2021. He was the loving husband of the late Doris Marie (Krout) Miller who died in October of 2020. Born in Stewartstown, he was the son of the late Cowhick W. Miller, Sr. and Anna R. (Sherbocker) Miller. Pete proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and received two Purple Hearts. He was a member of the VFW in West York Post #8951 and lived most of his life in the New Freedom area. Surviving is a son, Rickey Miller of Etters; 6 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 5 siblings, Donald L. Miller, Cowhick W. Miller Jr., Fred D. Miller, Lila E. Kohler, and Anna Marie Saubel. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Ann Miller, a brother, Gemmill (Bill) Dale Miller, and a sister, Mary Miller. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 29, at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown, Pa 17373 with a funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York.
