Edward C. Green

Edward C. "Ned' Green, 76, died Monday, January 22, 2018 at the Gettysburg Center. Following cremation any services will be at the convenience of the family. Born, January 1, 1942 in Centerville, Queen Ann's County, MD, he was the son of the late Edward and Cleo (Childs) Green. Edward received his Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of MD. He had been a member of Stewartstown United Methodist Church. Edward was a licensed Social Worker and Christian Counselor for over 20 years serving families and couples in the Shrewsbury area. Several years ago he built one of the first passive solar houses in New Park. Edward is survived by three daughters, Nona Bowers and her husband Raymond of Alexandria, VA, Lianne Pupa and her husband Joseph of New Windsor, MD and Sanya Nichols of Arbutus, MD; four grandchildren, Danielle Schutz, Rebecca Nichols, Joey Pupa and Jayden Bowers; a great-granddaughter, Josephine Schutz; two sisters, Anne Tisher of Easton, MD and Ellen Dumas Green of Freeport, Maine.
