Elaine Laura Taylor

Elaine Laura Taylor, 83, passed from this life on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. She was the loving wife of the late Donald Ray Taylor who passed in March 2015. She was born the daughter of the late George and Kathryn (Leese) Tampsett. Elaine was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, time with the grandchildren and great grandchildren, and yearly trips to Ocean City, MD, with her sister’s family. She was a former member of St. John Lutheran Church and the Ladies’ Auxiliary of Rose Fire Company, both in New Freedom. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Surviving is her daughter, Melanie R. Hanson and her husband, William R. of New Freedom; 4 grandchildren, Courtney Miller Landis and her husband, Travis, Corey Hanson, Aaron Hanson and his wife, Kaili, and Tarrah Gladhill and her husband, Mark; 7 great grandchildren, Bristol, Emmy, Killian, Haley, Chase, Kayce, and Sage; and two siblings, Gardenia Wallace of New Freedom and William Tampsett of Freeland, MD. Elaine was preceded in death by siblings, George Tampsett Jr. and Elva McCullough Olewiler. Services and interment are private and at the convenience of her family.
