Elayne E. Parks

Elayne E. Parks, 88, of Stewartstown died Monday, April 5, 2021 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of the late Roy E. Parks, Jr. Born in Coaldale, PA she was a daughter of the late Stanley O. and Vivian E. (Figard) Young. Elayne was a homemaker and a selfless lady who cared for her family and enjoyed working on the farm. She was involved with 4H and worked with leather for crafting, plastic canvas and upholstered furniture. Elayne was a longtime member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church in Fawn Grove where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir for many years. Her greatest joy was being a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She is survived by five children Steven R. Parks, Diana L., wife of Donald Rohrbaugh both of Stewartstown, Patricia A., wife of Mark Jenkins of Fawn Grove, Mary L., wife of David Greek of Delta and Thomas L. Parks and wife Jennifer of Sykesville, MD; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; one sister Vivian, wife of Robert Jones, one brother Kenneth Young; one sister-in-law Marion, wife of Leslie Smith. Elayne was preceded in death by two sisters Jean Lewis and Florence Marrs and four brothers Richard, Paul, Donnie and Bob Young. Services will be held at the convenience of her family.
